HR Head - Industrial Relations (12-15 yrs)

We have an urgent requirement of Head HR role for one of our client which is the sister concern of well known Indian airways company.

Looking to higher Regional HR who will be designated as Head HR or Senior Manager-HR will be based in Bangalore. Its a team handling role who will handle team of 4 to 5 People.

Position Summary

1 . The HR will lead the HR function (including Industrial Relations).

2. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

3. He is expected to apply business knowledge to drive the short- and long-term plan and priorities for the HR team in line with the organizational growth plans.

4. The HR will have overall responsibility for all IR, statutory & union related matters.

5. He is expected to develop and execute a consistent IR strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage regularly with the business to understand business specific needs and drive the people agenda

2. Work on manpower planning.

3. Act as an employee champion by ensuring the following:

- Manage employee grievances & employee queries appropriately.

- Support the facilitation of the Performance management process

- Enable learning and development, including identification of needs & design and identification of appropriate programs.

- Ensure employee compensation and benefits plan and reward and recognition

- Ensure that policies and processes are updated and relevant to business needs

- Industrial Relations

- Develop and implement IR strategies for all the airports.

- Conduct a thorough study and take appropriate measures to ensure union free environment and no work stoppages

- Formulate and administer policies in discussion with management to ensure harmonious relations between management and workers.

- Manage all compliances and various legal inspections and liaisoning with govt. officials

- Be abreast on changes to labour laws, arbitration decisions, court etc.

- Set-up Grievance redressal/dispute resolution mechanism to address labour issues and ensures amicable settlement of disputes.

Qualification and Experience

1. Post graduate diploma/degree in the area of Human Resources/Industrial Relations

2. 12-15 years of experience years of experience and knowledge of local languagesKannada, Malayalam and Telugu will be highly preferred.

3. Ability to work with multiple senior stakeholders

4. Handling huge employee base will be an added advantage.
