HR Generalist Role - NGO/Social Service (5-9 yrs)

Arthan's partner organisation is looking for an HR Generalist to work on managing operations and other HR related activities. You are someone who has worked in Human Resources and have good work experience as a Generalist. You enjoy taking on challenging assignments, delivering innovative and results-oriented solutions by proposing problem solving and creating tailored frameworks that address challenges. You excel in solving problems using clear strategic and creative thinking, and you want to put your skills to work. You are a committed, driven, self-starter with a passion for development, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Key Responsibilities :

- Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management and development (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, pay and conditions, contracts, training and development, performance appraisal and quality management issues)

- Work to ensure compliance with the policies, objectives, standards, and requirements communicated

- Recruit new people required by preparing job descriptions and job advertisements

- Implement a recruitment strategy for hiring including hiring drives and shortlisting

- Propose, publish and administer HR policies and design HR forms

- Plan for employee's performance appraisal, promotion and benefits

- Maintain HR records and files including by managing the HR database

- Maintain attendance and leave record system

- Listen to grievances and implement disciplinary procedures

- Perform any other duties assigned

Qualifications :

- Minimum Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Management, Psychology or any other related field

- Excellent working knowledge of HR policies and processes

- Experience in setting up systems

- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Willingness and ability to multitask when needed

Experience: Minimum of five years of HR experience at Managerial level

Skills & Competencies Required :

- Ability to meet deadlines and work on a range of tasks in a diverse team

- Ability to read/write/communicate in English


- Strong people management skills

- Ability to support teams and partners especially to troubleshoot or offer guidance, as appropriate
