BUSINESS ANALYST

We are a product start-up with towering global aspirations, building a consumer product with cutting edge technology, and are looking for person with specialized skills to join us as Business Product Manager.

The role of the Business Product Manager here, is that of a person who will interface largely with external stakeholders in the domain registrar and data centre business. Ideally, a candidate who has exposure to ICANN certifications and compliance, domain registrar partnerships, hosting services, domain resellers/distributors would be perfect.

RESPONSIBILITIES - 

- Understand what the business does and how it does it

- Determine how to improve existing domain registrar business process

- Works with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs

- Clearly articulates and documents business requirements

- Assesses the risks of various solutions and prioritizes competing business demands

- Manages ongoing relationship with business partner to drive satisfaction with Technology

- Coordinates project delivery by participating in design reviews and walk-throughs to communicate systems designs and validate proposed solutions

- Obtains key inputs from the architecture teams and identifies solution interdependencies

- Engages with knowledge workers to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing systems

- Proactively resolves customer satisfaction issues

- Negotiates contracts, manages relationships, and monitors vendor performance against SLAs

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Analytical

- Analytical and conceptual expertise

- Planning, documentation, analysis and business requirements management techniques

- Creation of the Business Requirements Document - BRD

- Administrative and reporting abilities

- Basic understanding of information technology and business concepts

- Improvement of business and engineering processes

- Strategic planning and use case development

Communication & Management

- Ability to formulate concepts

- Communication of technical information to a non-technical audience

- Communication of business information to a technical audience

- Tact and decision-making

- Management of customer relationships

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a MBA from IIM A, B and C

- 1 to 3 years of experience. Broad IT domain experience would be preferred

- Experience defining market and product requirements, working with engineering organizations to rapidly deliver high-impact capabilities to market.
