Role Overview Hora is a multi-million dollar startup at the cutting edge of fintech innovation. It is founded by two Princeton-educated serial entrepreneurs and backed by some of the biggest names in global finance and technology- such as Mr. Amit Singhal (ex worldwide Head of Google Search) and Mr. Michael Novogratz (ex Fortress Investment Group, CEO of Galaxy Group Investments). Hora's first product - Florence Capital (florencecapital.in) is India's first fintech that exclusively gives loans to women with a vision to make Indian Women Financially Independent. This is not a traditional cookie-cutter finance role - we are in search of an excellence-oriented individual who can help us build a financial roadmap to scale the business multifold over the next couple of years. This individual will not just lead Finance but also represent Hora's financial partnerships and raise debt capital. You will be responsible for 1. Leading Capital Markets - Raising debt/ equity capital from India and overseas 2. Acquiring a fresh/ existing NBFC license for Hora 3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams - working with Heads of Product, Risk and Technology to refine the value proposition. 4. Assess technical feasibility, market size, business opportunity for all lending products. 5. Leading partnerships with NBFCs and Banks: by building and leveraging networks with banks, financial institutions and rating agencies. 6. Financial analysis, product, risk, analytics and technology components 7. Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis. Fundraising and investment allocation strategy: provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization. 8. Heading Accounts & Compliance and guide the team Experience 1. Must have - past NBFC / banking/ lending experience, preferably at a fintech 2. Has leadership experience, at least at -1 and -2 levels 3. Has capital markets experience 4. Understand lending products - Different facets of lending - must understand enough to structure NBFC partnerships for the firm. 5. Has a deep understanding of the product, credit risk, credit and collections policies Must have a tech-driven approach - He/she must be able to think of non-traditional methods of assessment.'
