About the Role :

- We are looking for an experienced, talented and enthusiastic leader for each of the categories and verticals. You'll be part of an elite team and fully in charge of P&L ownership of your category.

- You will work with cross-functional teams including marketing, inventory management, creative, site merchandising, operations to grow top and bottom line for your category, increase volumes and margins, while assessing cost optimization opportunities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Identifying strategic choices to build P&L specific revenue and profitability

- End to end responsibility of customer experience and growth of the category assigned

- Presenting widest selection of products to customers at the best prices, bringing in the relevant assortment, designing targeted site experience including promotions, category properties resulting in improved conversion

- Anticipating customer needs and incorporating them into the functional road map and driving any major change or enhancement for customer experience influencing category needs based on study of competitive trends in the marketplace and other macro environment data

- Conducting in-depth analysis of merchandising properties through metrics such as

- Traffic, Conversion, ASP, RGM & GM% and formulating holistic and dynamic perspectives in order to drive their success via data

- Identifying partnership and sourcing opportunities and building a team to support hundreds of brands and suppliers.

- The ideal candidate should be passionate about merchandise, have a strong pulse on the market, have good persuasion and negotiation skills, and outstanding project management abilities.

- The position also requires you to be strongly analytical and data driven in matters of P&L, assortment planning, instock rates and sell-through velocities. The candidate is expected to hire, mentor and build a strong team of merchandizers/ buyers and planners who can provide leverage to grow and take on more in scope. The position requires you to work autonomously in a fast paced, highly demanding and ambiguous environment.

- Additionally, this position involves working with multiple stakeholders (quality, marketing, creative and branding, legal and supply chain, among others), and hence we need strong stakeholder management capabilities and ownership with great bias for action in getting things done.

You love this stuff :

- You will develop profound knowledge of the Indian customer behaviour and evolution and marry it with the kids- supply market to deliver best-in-class styles at the right pricing.

- You will define the collection structure on site, product selection, stock volume definition and product placement and work closely with the demand team on price and promotion decision making.

- You will lead planning of Seasonal Purchase Strategy. Results forecasting through the analysis of previous campaigns outcomes and future trends. Daily sales follow-up and strategy definition with a result-based approach.

- You are responsible for sourcing of new partners or suppliers and negotiation with suppliers: Price negotiation, margins, delivery times. On site negotiation (Constant visits to vendors and factories).

- You will liaison day to day with the Logistics, Distribution and Commercial Departments to ensure goods arrive on time.

- You will constantly research market trends to develop collections according to trends and costumer needs. You will Supervise the distribution and timing of the collections.

- Manage the OTB (open-to-buy) targets for the season and undertake Sales analysis and commercial needs.

You also have :

- Engineering degree (MBA is a plus) with 5+ years of relevant experience

- An understanding of and passion for e-commerce

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proven negotiation skills, influencing abilities

- Strong numerical and analytical aptitude

- Proven experience leading cross-functional projects

- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

- Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines

- Detail-oriented

- Innovative, team oriented, and have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities

- Experience in project ownership and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities
