Role : Director/ HOD - KYC Solutions {Diversity Role} Description : Global KYC Solutions organization works closely with the Global Financial Crimes Committee (GFCC) and Lines of Businesses (LOBs) to implement a sustainable and scalable operational process supporting clients along the Know Your Client (KYC) lifecycle including functions such as data collection, completion of the KYC profile, client screening, targeted local language and English language research as well as significant Cross LOB KYC Initiatives and Regulatory Deliverables. The KYC Centre of Excellence (Utility) will promote further centralization and consistency of operational KYC activities across all LOBs. This role will provide the opportunity to work in a fast paced dynamic team and to help implement best practices within the oranganisation. Job Description: - The primary responsibility of the HOD/ Director - KYC Solutions, is to oversee teams across LOB's to ensure all client KYC records are compliant with regulatory standards, to drive high quality and timely completion of all client-level due diligence requirements at the onset and renewal of client relationships. - The candidate would be required to enhance overall end-to-end strategy and governance across Migrations, Delivery, Training, Re-engineering, Risk &amp; Control framework. The candidate will be required to define/enhance an operating model and a migration strategy from the LOBs to the Utility, drive building and sharing best practices combined with optimal and sustainable delivery/controls framework, and provide broad based leadership by partnering with multiple work streams including Global Compliance, Technology &amp; Operations Responsibilities: Operational Excellence: Demonstrate complete &amp; thorough understanding of firm's KYC / AML Policies and procedures by adopting - Hands on - approach, as well as KYC systems and technology used to record KYC information &amp; documents and actively contribute to short and long-term organizational planning. Provide strong leadership to the KYC operations team to meet key process deliverables, including owning &amp; driving of the - Simplify KYC-, Efficiency program and system/process change management agenda by partnering with the global team, on an on-going basis, to improve overall process quality and effectiveness &amp; efficiency through constant process improvement initiatives. Service Delivery: The candidate will have functional responsibility towards the lines of business for around 800 FTEs across the KYC /AML function. The responsibilities would include managing overall Service delivery to the LOBs (Quality, Completeness and Throughput), flawless execution, smooth new migrations and enhancing overall client experience across each of these verticals. The functional responsibilities will require the candidate to work in a matrix operating model and manage the production functions of the Global KYC Solutions in India. People Management: The role will involve building a strong transparent culture for staff based on meritocracy; advance the inclusive leadership agenda through diversity, training, performance management, networking, redeployment, job mobility, mentoring, etc.&nbsp; - The candidate would be required to engage, motivate and influence direct reports, teams and peers and enhance overall employee engagement and retention, working in partnership with HR &amp; Training teams. The role involves monitoring &amp; solving key HR issues around hiring, engagement, training, attrition etc. that may have an impact to business and build a framework which will help to do a pro-active monitoring/ highlight early warning signals around any staff impact. Create an effective and efficient team through continuous communication, timely feedback, and appropriate supervisory practices. Partnership &amp; Governance: The candidate will work in a matrix environment, in close partnership across various sites and business partners as well as Global Service Centers (GSCs). He/ she will be responsible for managing new migrations and build and leverage partnerships across businesses locally as well as with global business partners in line with the overall product/business objectives.&nbsp; - The role involves institutionalizing a strong governance framework locally in the region and across all delivery sites to ensure strong focus on quality, delivery and enhancing client experience. Risk &amp; Controls:&nbsp; - The candidate will be responsible for building a strong Risk aware/controls focused operations and working closely with the Business Partners and Risk/Controls Managers in driving/implementing an effective, robust, pro-active and sustainable controls program to pro-actively manage risks to the business. Fulfill all Governance requirement's and ensure smooth&amp; successful Regulatory and Internal Audits. - Financial Discipline: Plan and Manage budgets across teams and groom teams to achieve financial discipline at all times. - Site Leadership: Be the Leader for KYC Solutions at India, engage actively across the Hyderabad GSC site wide programs &amp; initiatives as well as broader India GSC's priorities. Qualifications/Requirements: Overall 18 - 22 years of experience with at least 12-15 years in Financial Services across AML/KYC, Client facing Securities, Cash &amp; Banking experience. Hands on Operational Experience will be required. - Ability to move product and process initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed organizational model - A strong team player and an ability to work in teams distributed across the globe - Vocal in challenging business as usual operating models and recommending innovative product improvements - Ability to map proposed solutions against a diverse and complex technology and operations platform - Ability to work independently and professionally interact with key stakeholders at very senior levels. - Ability to devise creative solutions in response to client requests and strategic product goals - Excellent analytical skills, with complementary communications and presentation skills - Current and practical knowledge of KYC as well as experience in some or many of the following areas: Investment Banking / Private Banking / Investment Management / Correspondent Banking / Commercial Banking / Treasury Services / Trade Finance products - Experience in different markets and locations can serve to broaden expertise - Should be creative and innovative; challenges status quo; generates strategic advice/product/client solutions - Have a track record of formulating innovative ideas and gaining buy-in from senior management in addition to a track record of execution/delivery/process improvement/leadership in a challenging environment - Ability to deep-dive and investigate issues to see a successful resolution and broker the solution to applicable key managers - Experience with the build out and execution of a new team or procedures, ability to identify risks and issues and successfully navigate through to completion - Self-reliance and willingness to "own" problems and creatively find solutions.
