1. Job Role: PD - Manager
2. Superior Position: PD - Leader

5. Purpose of the Role: To provide technical interface between customer & HCI. Develop new products as per customer requirements. Act as technical mentor for the manufacturing team.
6. Responsibilities:
a. Function Specific:
- Responsible for developments of new parts.
- To add on new product growth by forward selling to customers.
- Work with design departments to come up with solutions to technical metal forming problems.
- Project Manager and APQP champion for all new parts and changes.
- Provide technical clarification for customer and internal departments.
- Aid strongly in the development and upkeep of all Quality Control documents including PFMEA, Control plans, Inspection Plans etc.
- Plan, supervise and manage all new projects within the timeline allotted by the customer.
- To establish the process parameters necessary for the smooth production of components as per the planned costing.
- Spearhead process improvements to reduce costs of running process.
- Check tool drawings to ensure product manufacturability
- Conduct process validation and optimization trials and document back the findings to all control documents.
b. Environment Health & Safety:
- Report incidents on time in a given format
- Ensure Air, water or land is not polluted due any of his/her activities
- Follow safety norms inside the premises
- Ensuring safety of his/her guest/visitors inside the premises
c. Operational Excellence (OpEx):
- Look for waste in the process or activity performed with the intent of elimination
- Ensure that the work place is maintained in a neat and clean manner

8. Requirements of profile:
a. Education / Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering/Master degree in Engineering
b. Number of years of past Work Experience: Min 3 yrs. of experience in forging industry or in metal forming
c. Desired past experience: Creative, hands on problem solver
Internal:
- Design Of Experiments experience
- Familiar with Solid Modeling (Pro-E) and Finite Element Analysis for metal forming
- Understanding of heat treatment processes and metallurgy
- Familiar with Quality Systems; QS-9000, TS-16949
- Familiar with GD&T, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control
