Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages - National Manager - Infrastructure & Engineering

Job Objective :

Responsible for understanding, Planning & Execution of Infrastructure Projects and providing engineering support in the Company Owned Bottling Operations to ensure the completion of work, meeting all design parameters, deliver on-time, complete within budgets and meet Overall business goals. Work to also involve appointment of contractors and review the performance of contractors across projects.

Job Responsibilities :

- Primary responsibility to be to support the infrastructure works for plants & Warehouses across India.

- Support Manufacturing Strategy Team in planning of Civil and Infrastructure activities to meet planned Productivity Norms as per annual business.

- Pre and Post capital review of all capital expense related activities.

- Validate the need with the statutory requirements, both internal and external such as company laws, local norms and national guidelines such as NBC, IS Codal requirements for the facility design and GMP practices for all food plants.

- Create the ground rules for the design and facilitation of the project.

- Co-ordinate with architects, engineers, consultants and contractors to ensure all works required for the design.

- Review the works undertaken at construction sites/ plants at site on interim basis.

- Suggest remedies/ actions for any concerns arising out of the works.

- Shall re-validate the civil design specifications time to time for the new rules and regulations and based on the upgraded level of execution performance parameters for all projects.

- Clearly define and communicate the scope of work and specific requirements to all suppliers for various projects, and follow-up to ensure the uniformity of techno-commercial proposals.

- Work closely on continuous basis with respective factory managers for controlling and monitoring timely progress of activities.

- Create the development and sharing of best Practices across all manufacturing locations.

- Do Capital Expenditure Budgeting (CAPEX) & Opex based on Work scope across various locations.

- Work closely with Supply chain team for proper evaluation of Commercial Offers received from suppliers.

- Shall work towards understanding the user requirements, validating the designs as per Coca-Cola standard specifications, coordinating for other services and ensure handholding with the site execution teams and assisting in timely execution of projects, in time and cost.

- Shall work to create a collective approach of solving some of the infrastructural gaps in the current plants and work towards improving and eliminating them.

- To continuously review and update all the technical and engineering standards meeting local and TCCC standards.

- Working knowledge of services and the interfacing of various services required for the effective design of the facility.

- Co-ordinate with various agencies and ensure that all details and drawings are prepared befitting the rules laid down for the design of facilities and services.

- Prepare documentation and MOM's of all Techno-Commercial discussions and agreements with all suppliers with sign-off from all stake-holders for all projects.

- Develop and establish Management routines between all the stakeholders responsible for project deliverables.

- Prepare Project Milestones, Detailed Timelines, Gantt Charts, Equipment Delivery Schedules, status reports etc. and presentation to Senior Management.

- Work along with Suppliers/Sites to ensure that the equipment/process suppliers deliver the performance of the equipment as per the agreed performance and the acceptance criteria.

- Work closely with other team members of Corporate Technical and Projects Team to do detailed technical evaluation of various projects.

Critical Experiences/Exposure Required :

- Critical exposure to Food facilities and hygienic design.

- Understanding and hands on experience of Master planning and Detailed Design

- Critical understanding of Tenders, Specifications, taxation including for conditions of contract, Conflict resolution, Closure of contracts.

- Benchmarking of vendors for future and critical projects.

- Good know how of the landscape of construction across industry verticals.

- Association with Nodal and academia - Premier institutes, universities such as IIT, IISC.
