JOB OBJECTIVES : To safeguard and defend the Company's Business interests within the zone by minimizing/eliminating Legal exposure and conduct Business operations in a Legally compliant manner JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : 1. Contract Management: Assist business in negotiation, structuring and documentation of various contracts with Distributors, Key accounts, Service providers, Suppliers, etc. within corporate guidelines; constantly monitor performance of various contracts 2. Litigation Management: Handling litigation for the company within the zone, which will include making Briefs of Cases, Brief Advocates & attend Court Cases; reduction in pending litigation and costs 3. Legal Guidance: Track compliance of various Legislations & Guidelines issued by the Corporate; provide guidance to Commercial and supply chain on legal aspects of marketing laws, environment laws, Factories Act, FSSA, Legal Metrology, consumer activation, promotions and customer related activities; advice HODs and Business associates on various Legal issues; upgrade legal awareness of Business associates on various Laws from time to time. 4. Legal Action: Take action against Counterfeiters; draft notices and reply to the same; help the business in the recovery of old debts from the distributors within the zone 5. IR Management: To carry out relevant litigation regarding IR issues and work with HR to ensure 100 % labour laws and statutory compliances and resolve HR related cases within the guidelines provided by corporate. - LLB with minimum 4-8 years- experience with an MNC/Reputed Solicitor firm. - Knowledge of Competition law, MRTP, Food laws, Consumer Laws, Environment law, Labour & Corporate Laws. - Knowledge of marketing related issues and understanding in handling trade promotions, contracts, and customer activation schemes - English, Hindi and local language preferred(Kannada/Tamil) - Travel : 40%, needs to operate from Chennai also
