Lead - User Research


A New Social Future :


- How is it that in a world that's evolving so quickly that social products still feel the same? Strangely enough, we're still using products that were invented in the 2G era. There seems to be an emptiness with the current experience and today's products are built to force humanity to be superficial.

3. Self Worth Moving Online: 40% of people's waking life is now spent on their smartphones. The next generation is far more comfortable online than offline.

4. Vertical Communities: We don't live our lives in one massive community. We're specific in the activities we engage in (art, gaming, fitness etc).

5. New Business Models: Putting customer at the centre. These won't be ad-driven in the traditional sense. Think micro-transactions, subscriptions and more.

6. Consumers as Owners: It's a bit strange that consumers aren't part of the value chain. Turning customers into owners is a fascinating thought.

Role and Responsibilities :

You will :

- Identify and hire users in targeted segments/geographies

- Conduct ethnographic research in the field and provide recommendations for opportunities

- Document and analyse user insights for easy decision making

- Build and maintain a network of influencers that inform us about known behaviours

- Coordinate with external experts in social psychology space

- Work with design and product team members to validate hypothesis using heuristic/qualitative methods

- Serve as a team member that acts as a 'repository' of research-based product knowledge

Sounds Like You?

- Education relevant to ethnography and user research from a school of repute

- Minimum of 2 years of experience on conducting field research

- Expert in user research methodologies

- Ability to speak at least one regional language

- Ability to present analysis in a structured and consumable manner

- Experience in working in an objective and iterative product development environment

- Self-motivated to work on your own timeline

- Experience in working with social platforms is a plus

- This role might require extensive travel
