General Manager Operations - Himalayan Institute of Alternatives Ladakh is an NGO located in Ladakh. - We are looking for a Manager Operations who has experience in Infrastructure and is a B.Tech/ M.Tech in Civil Engineer by Qualification. - He will be responsible for the entire Operations of the Institute which will include different projects being handled within the organization. (for more details you can visit our website www.hial.edu.in) - He will be responsible for Institute's Infrastructure Construction Projects, Sustainable Tourism Projects, R&D Projects, Energy Projects and many more. Preferred Educational Background : 1. Should be a B.Tech and M.Tech in Civil 2. MBA in any relevant field 3. PMP or Prince 2 Certified 4. Six- Sigma Green Belt minimum 5. Any other certifications in Project management Desired candidates Skill Sets : 1. PMP/Prince 2 certified 2. Should know project management tools (like Microsoft Project) 3. Strategic in approach thus understands and addresses inter-dependencies and real issues 4. Manage deliverables and milestones, on time/within budget/meeting business needs 5. Ability to manage road blocks and bring them to success 6. Proven experience with projects of similar size and scope 7. Able to earn trust and respect from project's stakeholders. 8. Able to influence decisions that need to be made to make the project successful. 9. Able to apply frameworks and methodologies such as Agile and SCRUM throughout a project's lifecycle. 10. Coordinate/reporting with managers, clients and team members to set expectations, deliverables, and objectives. 11. Team Building/Management 12. Resource Planning and Management 13. Time Management/Scheduling 14. Cost Assessment/Budget Management 15. Conflict Management and Resolution 16. Policy Knowledge. An adequate grasp of the regulatory regime governing the sector, including health, safety, business best practices, and environment 17. Knowledge about construction and Sustainable Infrastructure Preferred Work Experience : 1. 20+ years of Experience in Operations. 2. Program manager experience in a construction-based projects will be preferred. 3. Experience in handling Budgeting effectively. 4. Track record of completion of project within timelines.
