Job Purpose:

Their role is to provide 'real time- strategic and decision support through thought leadership and insightful analytics, blend of external with internal, incisive benchmarking, and business understanding. He/she is expected to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making

The responsibilities of a finance business partner include :

- Supporting the functional head in formulation of strategy, and goals

- Driving accountability through performance governance, scorecards

- Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance;

- Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies;

- Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered;

- Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams

- Ensuring budgetary controls, as well as effectiveness of spends/investments

- Evaluation of all the decisions- and influencing the actions in order to ensure they are financially robust.

- Be the co- pilot for the functional head, aligning the performance with overall company goals

- Nurture and develop finance talent

- Drive automation, digitalization, and process orientation within the finance function

- Ensure controls and governance in the respective function

This is a strategic role. Information and reporting are just the tip of the iceberg. What really matters is your ability to see the value in the information you provide and to inspire others to make use of it. It calls for someone who is used to working in a rapidly changing environment and who is comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing change.

The role of a finance business partner requires a different set of skills to the traditional finance back office function.

Education:

Qualified CA/ MBA ( Finance ) with 10-15 years work experience
