JOB SUMMARY: - To head SCM and Operations at Healthkart. - Strategy formulation and ensure execution : The incumbent needs to be a keen planner with knowledge of import/export procedure, logistics &amp; transportation; resourceful at maintaining business relationship with customers to achieve high quality product and service norms by prompt resolution of critical issues - Evaluating and reviewing company's logistics operations business practices, updating and developing process documentation, streamlining opportunities, and eliminating non-value added activities - Streamlining the system &amp; procedures for effective material control for ensuring a ready availability of materials - Developing, implementing and managing cross-functional, fully integrated planning process incorporating make versus buy, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, material and associated cost elements - Frame SOP s, evolve, optimise and standardise process and procedures. - To manage the entire supply chain management and ensure discipline and accountability of team. - Define KRA s and KPI s and effectively monitor and assess performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for entire supply chain management and operations - Should be Proficient in designing &amp; developing systems and procedures to implement purchasing, inventory control that assures availability of materials &amp; transportation in accordance with Just-in-Time delivery schedules, while maintaining minimum inventory - Should be an enterprising leader with expertise in leading and driving several initiatives to achieve cost optimization, process improvements and capability building; streamlining the operations and budgets to deliver improved CAPEX &amp; OPEX - Should be adept in cost reduction achievements. - Should possess excellent negotiation skills with strong leadership qualities and analytical power; proficient in managing commercial documentation, liaising with dealers, customers &amp; regulatory authorities - Nourishing day-to-day relationship with vendors; ensuring achievement of service and quality norms for smooth flow of operations &amp; supply of required items - Identifying and developing alternate vendor source for localization, reduction in delivery time and improving consistency in quality &amp; competition among vendors - Devising logistics strategy for key markets based on business models incorporating supply chain initiatives/plans - Managing the import/export operations and maintaining various documents for the same - Undertaking &amp; managing projects while focusing on process &amp; profitability improvements - Negotiating contracts with Airlines/Shippers/Freight Forwarders/Transporters and Clearing Agents for cost-effective transport solutions &amp; clearances MEASURES OF SUCCESS: - Develop and execute a comprehensive logistics and distribution strategic plan that can drive optimal customer service and revenue enhancement. - Revamp the supply chain strategy resulting in an improvement of the service provided to customers in a very strong growth environment while drastically reducing costs and inventory. - Eliminate shortages of supplies and delivered savings from reduced import and logistics costs - Delivery of capital expenditure (CAPEX) Projects for improved gross margins &amp; revenue - Collaborated with Sales Team &amp; manage TAT for timely deliveries OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: - Devising logistics strategy for key markets based on business models incorporating supply chain initiatives/plans - Managing the import/export operations and maintaining various documents for the same - Undertaking &amp; managing projects while focusing on process &amp; profitability improvements - Negotiating contracts with Airlines/Shippers/Freight Forwarders/Transporters and Clearing Agents for cost-effective transport solutions &amp; clearances LEADERSHIP/CRITICAL POSITION: - Critical Position: Planning and managing entire SCM and Operations - Reporting direct to MD
