POSITION - Head - Warehouse & transportation Operations

Base Location:- Bangalore ( Whitefield )

Reporting to: Distribution

Reportees - Team of warehouse manager & executives.

OFFERED CTC - negotiable; depending upon current CTC, education background, interview status.

Key Result Areas

- This role would be based out of the Head Office, and shall be overseeing all of the Warehouses pan INDIA, along with the transportation requirements.

- Lead and Manage Strategy and Execution of Warehouse and Logistics

- Use systems and tools to effectively and efficiently create tactical and strategic logistic solutions.

- Expand delivery network in new zones

- Drive key logistics metrics like time to delivery, cost of delivery etc

- Third Party Logistics and Warehouse Management

Other Responsibilities

- Plan routes and load scheduling for multi-drop deliveries.

- Manage Warehouse inventory and obsolescence

- Organize dispatch and delivery of goods

- Develop logistic relationships

- Monitor and bring efficiency in logistics cost

- Negotiate and bargain logistics prices

- Lead cross-functional projects that will enhance logistics operations.

- Manage direct and indirect staff.

- Would be managing the Third Party (3 PL) Logistics and Warehouses

- Business Acumen - Should have an understanding of business operations, competition & internal customer preferences. Should be able to gather information to assist in a business decision when requested

- Agility - Should be capable of recognizing environmental /market changes that affect the organization and be able to assess its likely impact on an immediate area of work. Should suggest action to be taken to superiors. Should be able to effectively manage change by quickly executing change initiatives- whether in product/service or people and show flexiblity towards change management. Should be capable of reallocating time and shift resources to cope with varying situations. Should set priorities in cross functional multi tasking. Meet deadlines. Prioritise to accomplish critical tasks

- Entrepreneurial - Should be able to spot opportunities for incremental improvements in his functional area and be able to provide creative ideas for the larger organization

- Quality and Excellence - Should be able to train the team on quality adherence by measuring the impact of quality on customer satisfaction and profitabiliy. Should be able to diagnose gap areas in quality audit systematically and take necessary corrective action. Raise quality benchmarks when required. Build Audit and Quality measures, if required

Qualification and Experience

Post Graduate degree in management

- The desired candidate should have 7 - 10 years of experience in logistics and Warehouse management and should be currently managing logistics function of an apparel, sports and lifestyle brand, ecommerce.

- Candidate should be willing to travel
