Client Profile: Our client is an established, reputed, large auto-ancillary organisation based in Baroda. They have multiple plants and large headcount. The organisation manufactures auto-components for OEMs & after-markets and caters to prestigious organisations in India and abroad. Our clients are growing at a rapid pace. Our clients seek to recruit young, dynamic & experienced Manufacturing professionals to lead the operations of the respective manufacturing units. The positions are based in Baroda & reports to the MD & CEO. The positions will have a large team of professionals reporting into them. Our clients offer excellent salary/perks as per industry norms & commensurate with experience.

Interviews are scheduled mid-May and the position is expected to be closed by end-May.

Job Profile This is a key Leadership position and part of the Top-Management Team. The incumbent will drive the organization's operational improvements / effectiveness, Ramp up capacity, Drive PQCDSM. Improve Operational Profitability.

A large team of functional heads including Operations, Product-Engineering, HR, Procurement, Process Engineering & Projects will report into the position.

Will handle:

1. Operations Management

a) Effectively manage day to day operations and improvements in manufacturing

b) Sustain a professional working environment in all divisions of the business with a key focus on healthy industrial relations & working culture

c) Initiate and sustain lean manufacturing concepts

d) Develop and strengthen the planning function to ensure high levels of visibility of targets / by shift / by person / by production station as well as capture of actuals against targets.

Further, effectively plan to reduce changeover downtimes.

e) Eliminate points of failure and improve consistent 'high quality of delivery' in operations through improvement in Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale. (PQCDSM)

2. Procurement

a) Effectively manage day to day purchasing (except spring steel) through the procurement team

b) Efficient procurement of capital equipment as per needs of operations and expansion

c) Efficient procurement of all materials required for the business (excluding spring steel)

d) Efficient management of inventories of all materials and achieve (against best in class) inventory turnover targets

e) Vendor Development and vendor upgradation

f) Develop and maintain professional and ethical practices

g) Effectively manage day to day operations and improvements in manufacturing

3. Product / Process Engineering

a) Effectively manage day to day product engineering work coming from Sales and Manufacturing depts

b) Develop and drive a high quality culture, with a view to improve focus on First time right (FTR) and On Time In Full (OTIF) through effective process and product engineering

c) Drive product innovation, build a culture of continuous improvement and encourage the identification, evaluation and implementation of improvement opportunities

d) Drive advanced level of innovation in both process and product engineering, through greater awareness of industry trends and evolving customer expectations (including overseas markets for both stock and non-stock products)

4. Procurement

a) Establish and review the Key Performance Indicators of all staff, aligned to overall business outcome and plant delivery objectives. Further, ensure individual performance is linked to individual KPIs.

b) Develop and improve competency of people, linked to respective roles and responsibilities

c) Succession planning, to reduce and eliminate key-man dependencies

d) Oversee staff development, welfare and safety

Candidate Profile - We are seeking engineers BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Industrial) aged 38-45 with 14-20 years experience in the auto-ancillary / light-engineering sectors.

- Proven strong track record in Leadership and delivering strong results / business outcomes, Self Driven, Professional working, Teaming skills, Result orientation.

- Must be willing to locate to Baroda
