Openings with a Leading Bank in Mumbai for Head/VP/GM-CFO/Financial Controller

Job & Candidate Profile: Role / Key accountability:

- Steering the accounting team to ensure accurate & timely financial accounting, reporting – monthly, quarterly & annual (audited).

- Having an in depth understanding of the concepts of NBFC accounting / regulations.

- Ensuring basic data integrity and sanctity of the general ledgers and records of the company.

- Design and adherence to stringent controls across all the processes. Involves continuous process reviews, audits, documentation of procedures, controls and key metrics.

- Ensure all direct & indirect tax returns and other regulatory returns are properly and promptly prepared and that the company’s income tax and other tax exposures are minimized to the extent legally possible.

- Ability to proactively manage the statutory auditors’ (KPMG).

- Managing the compliance to the requirements of NCD listing, RBI and other control / governance aspects mandated by the management.

- Active participation in all new products set up. Role includes setting processes for all accounting and system initiations.

- Monthly analysis of financials (ratio & trend analysis) to ensure accuracy of numbers for providing an overall commentary & reasons for variances to the leadership team.

- Manage the fixed assets accounting and in-depth expense analysis.

- Complete ownership of the annual report of the company.

- Drive automation to minimize manual intervention & thus maximize efficiency & financial controls.

- Manage the chart of accounts, monthly schedule preparation & its review and manage the changes in the accounting platform.

Person Profile:

- Education Background - Chartered Accountant

- Should be expert in MS Excel and ERP implementation knowledge would be a bonus.

- Years of experience: 10 - 18 Years

- Industry Exposure - Banking / Financial Services

- Type of Experience - Core accounting, Auditing and Reporting

Essential Requirements: Financial Accounting, compliance to Accounting Standards & Guidance notes issued by ICAI

Desirable Requirements: IFRS
