Procurement Organization - We currently have following kind of purchases in our firm : - Commercial Purchase - This includes procurement of Packing material, various kind of pulp and paper making chemicals. - Raw Material (Wood / Agro) - This is raw material used in pulp making. We procure various kind of Agro based raw material like Wheat Straw, Kana / Kahi Grass, Bagasse etc. While in case of wood procurement we procure wood chips, wood logs, Bamboo. These are primarily procured from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh - Fuel (Coal / Rice Husk / Paddy Waste) - We procure coal from the market as well as from Govt. sources while Rice husk is procured locally from Punjab and Haryana Markets. - Project Purchase - This includes all kinds of purchases under capital projects as well as revenue projects. - Other General purchase - This would include purchase of regular items / spares / consumable / services (contract manpower etc.) required in typical manufacturing setup. Role : - We are looking at creating a new Vice President level role to integrate all our procurement functions under one leader. - The prime purpose of this role will be to establish an integrated procurement function with industry level best practices. - This role is required to bring a fresh outside perspective of best practices / Standard Procedures in the Procurement domain. The success factor for this role will be defined by the person's ability to orient our entire purchase function to adopt these global best practices. - This role will oversee an overall procurement of over INR 500+ Cr. Annually across various categories. - The person will have direct reports of the level of General managers / Sr. GM who are overseeing the current purchases. They internally have an organization under them. All of this will roll into this new role. - The incoming candidate will be required to create a robust Procurement organization with clearly articulated functional responsibilities, Functional KRA / KPIs etc. Role Requirement : - We are looking for profiles with at-least 18 - 20 years of experience in procurement domain, preferably in the age bracket of 45-50 years - This role will directly report directly into the Managing Director. - The role will be based out of our Plant premise with day travel to the Head office in Chandigarh as needed.
