Head - Valuation Control & Reporting - Banking (15-20 yrs)
Our client has an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established Valuation Reporting team.
This is a team management role keen for someone who is looking to work closely in the Valuations Control team closely and manage the end to end reporting and control and governance for the Valuation group globally.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Oversight and analysis of FVA methodologies and Preparation process from a logistic, process & IT point of view.
- Communicating/reporting IPV results to finance management, trading desks and external stakeholders (auditors, regulators), via the production of the monthly IPV reporting pack and communication in relevant meetings.
- The job involves significant extent of Stakeholder management. Involves liaising with leaders in Valuation Controls globally, Product Control and other infrastructure areas as required.
- Fair amount of decision making, and problem-solving skills required. Job involves consolidation, challenge, and communication of valuation control output across all business areas and products (i.e., independent price verification results, valuation uncertainty / prudent valuation adjustments and fair value adjustments).
To be eligible for this role you will require:
- Master's degree with a premier college into Finance/ Engineering/ IT.
- Valuation control or product control experience in a financial services environment. Strong front to back valuation control experience.
- Strong workflow management skills and good knowledge of a high standard reporting function.
- Understanding of a range of asset classes.
- Strong partnership and management skills.
