Head - Utilities - Injectables - Pharma

Job purpose :

The head of Utilities is responsible for providing all necessary utilities (HVAC, water, power, chilled water, clean steam, PW, WFI,) to all the insulin plant, MRP with an efficient professional, compliant and performance-oriented service.

Technical:

Lead the site engineering/maintenance of all utility equipment (black & clean) incl. power

Develop technical collaboration with all utility equipment vendors (Domestic and Global)

Ensure compliance to Regulatory/GMP requirements from engineering & maintenance perspective

Provide leadership to the team of engineers to ensure timely technical resolutions in line with agreed procedures

Ensure timely decisions and assist resolving complex problems by effective coordination among site engineering/maintenance, Quality and operations as per site needs.

Ensure timely approvals of all necessary statutory & GMP documents.

Develop preventative maintenance SOPs & PM Plans of all utility equipments & ensure adherence to PM schedules & SOP training in timely manner

Support Closure of CAPA, Deviations & QMS

Networking with other site engineering & maintenance functions

Support improvement of OEE

Manage shift support to operations

Networking with OEMs to have best support

Manage essential spares of all utility equipments & coordinate with procurement and engg. WH

Mange AMCs with OEMs as appropriate

Prepare budget & ensure adherence

HSE (Safety):

Collaborate with site & Global HSE and ensure all safety and environmental guidelines are adhered.

Support to maintain site specific safety goals, PASS and expectations

People Management:

Lead a team of engineers and technicians, provide an efficient and people oriented support to develop the teams and each individual.

Ensure good and efficient relations between all department to optimize plant efficiency

Provide all the relevant training that demands in specific to engineering & related GMP.

Review & ensure timely resources as per demands of engineering & Maintenance like HVAC, C. Air, Nitrogen, WFI, PSG & Lifts etc.,.

Energy Conservation:

Collaborate with site & Global Energy team and ensure applicable guidelines.

Review & evaluate Industry Benchmarks & Best Practices that are applicable to the engg. & Maintenance.
