About the role

With advancement of technology in algorithmic trading world, technology has started playing a pivotal role in trading. Fast and constant adoption of new technologies and innovation is one of critical success factors for trading. As Head of Trading Technology, you will be heading technology trading group to ensure that our group is ahead of the competition. This position will have a broad range of both technical and managerial responsibilities including regulatory compliance management and oversight. This includes setting the IT direction, defining and implementing IT policies, developing support technology plans and leadership development. Ideal candidate must have the ability to assimilate into existing well established IT infrastructure bringing vision and direction to future endeavors. A thorough understanding of Indian trading technology is critical for this position

Position is at VP level and the candidate will be working directly with business along with support from technology team and will report to COO of business group.

Responsibilities

1. Establish, communicate and maintain corporate technology systems, and ensures that the architecture can support the growing and changing needs of the business

2. Develop, implement and maintain international best practices in IT technological standards and protocols

3. Monitor and assess new technologies that can be productive for buy side trading floor

4. Lead the execution of technology strategy for technology platforms, partnerships, and external relationships

5. Benchmarking current solutions with industry best practices and standards

6. Lead technology teams in day-to-day operations, provide key expertise, conduct technical reviews and set performance goals

7. Liasoning with internal / external teams for adoption of new technology and major troubleshooting issues

8. Responsible for testing / Q&A and development

Eligibility Criteria

Knowledge and Experience

- At least 10 years experience in trading technology with minimum 3 years as Head of Trading Technology of a financial organization

- Extensive financial services experience in equities, options, futures, fixed income products across electronic execution and broker assisted trading platforms, exchange interfaces, order management systems, risk management systems and execution management systems and market data

- Proven track record implementing effective IT controls, quality guidelines, standards, and procedures

- Deep understanding of algorithmic trading technology

- Hands on experience in running complex trading infrastructures

- Technical expertise at network connectivity, hardware and software life cycles

- Experience of handling development and implementation of large projects

- Active participation within industry groups and forums preferred
