Head - Trade & Supply Chain Finance Operations

The team is responsible to bring out to the market our world class offering in trade & supply chain finance space through the platform. The products would range from vendor finance, factoring solutions, dealers/distributor finance, bill discounting, anchor-based trade finance and structured trade finance products.

This role is mandated to develop and put in place our operations team, systems, processes & policies to ensure that end to end flow of transactions happen between the lenders, the platform, and the channel partners/anchors.

Key responsibilities

- Build a world class dedicated team which is aligned with the overall objectives & vision of our platform business

- Draft and implement the overall objectives, processes, policies for supply chain finance unit

- Document the operational functionalities in detail in the form of Process Notes

- Prepare the operational manuals for transaction processing and flow manuals for vendors/dealers, anchors and lenders

- Process notes for different products to be placed on the platform need to be finalized and placed on the platform

- Compliance of all transaction processing with regulatory frameworks and in compliance with our lender partner's policies, procedures and standards and ensure prompt problem solving of issues.

- Ensure workflow across the platform, lenders & anchor partners is smooth, leading to reduced timelines on transaction processing and achieving high throughput.

- Ensure framework is in place for transaction records, documents. Build an system for archiving of records for easy retrieval for any future requirements.

- Operational process to be put in place and monitored include the following -

- Transactions processing, settlements

- Exception monitoring & closures

- Maker/Checker concept at each level

- Reporting to senior management on business growth on the platform

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Possess 10-15 years of relevant experience in trade & supply chain finance preferably at a regional or national level currently.

- Handled large teams and huge volumes of transactions spanning different products within trade & SCF

- Prior experience banks, NBFCs or Fintechs would be mandatory

- Well versed in MS Excel, Power Point and other financial modelling tools would be an added advantage
