Job Profile: CA with a minimum of 15 years' experience in direct & indirect taxation. Preferably from the manufacturing industry/part of Centre of Excellence having good exposure of SAP and digital environment. Job Responsibilities: - System/ Process improvement in SAP relating to taxation - Monitoring automation and Digitization initiatives are taken by the company and working towards further automation - Monitoring the direct tax compliances, including compliance as per TDS provisions, Payroll tax, ESOP Taxation, monthly TDS payments, tax accounting entries, filing of quarterly TDS / TCS returns, annual TDS reconciliation for the purpose of tax audit as per clause 34 - Monitoring the issuance of Form 15CA/CB for payments made to Nonresidents/ Foreign companies and ensuring the TDS compliance - Review of monthly TDS payments - Monitoring the finalization of Tax Audit, Transfer pricing reports and benchmarking, 80IA financials and certifications thereof, etc. - Monitoring of compilation of information and details for assessments and appeals. - Ensure obtaining of all the statutory no's related to Tax, viz. PAN No / TAN No. and application u/s 195/197 - Ensuring and implementing new tax provisions/rates in the system - Preparation of Tax SOP and ensuring adherence to SOP - Supervise, train, and mentor the Tax and finance team working on Tax compliance /reporting /tax projects - Understand the implication of other applicable taxes and accounting norms as may be applicable - Review details prepared by team members related to: GST returns Strong Governance for ITC taken Avail ITC in a timely manner Review workings for statutory payments as per schedule and file returns - Provide support for tax audits/assessments - Should be able to make decisions for the items not specifically mentioned in the gazette. - Ensure resolution of various issues and queries by raising the same to local units, departments, and external parties. - Should be able to design the new changes in IDT as per the needs of the industry - Able to bring new efficiencies in working capital and other ITC areas - Should have knowledge about tax structures for M&A - Monitor team performance and ensure that SLAs and KPIs are achieved in the area of operations
