They have manufacturing setups across 12 locations in the country and operate across 6 business units. With the presence in B2B, B2C and retail segment and an employee strength of 4000+ they are a highly profitable group.

Description

Reporting directly to the CFO you will be responsible to

- Lead direct and indirect tax planning and compliance for the company

- Stay abreast on tax legislation, changes in tax regime, evaluate implications for the company, support in decision-making, communication and compliance

- Represent Industry forums on Tax related issues and policy advocacy

- Develop, implement and monitor tax controls and compliance through robust system and process orientation.

- Represent the tax matters / litigation with various tax authorities

- Perform / co-ordinate on tax due diligence for potential M&A opportunities

- Institutionalise a strong MIS reporting on Direct & Indirect tax

- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors on tax matters

- Deal with regulatory agencies for all tax related issues

- Manage and mentor the tax team

Profile

You are a Chartered Accountant with

- 17+ years of post qualification experience

- hands on tax experience in a manufacturing setup preferably from chemicals, FMCG, pharma or cement industry

- experience as a Tax Head or N-1 to tax head

- ability to manage complex business structures

- excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
