Role : Head of Talent

Location : Mumbai / Navi Mumbai

Minimum Qualifications : Honours degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology or equivalent

Minimum Experience : 10-16 years HR generalist experience with 3 years in a senior Talent Management function

Job Summary :

- To provide a holistic talent management function for MESA in line with business and HR strategy. To ensure organisational effectiveness and client satisfaction through developing, driving, implementing and managing best practice talent and learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables :

- Provision of Thought Leadership and Best Practice

- Ensure consistent application of the end to end MESA Talent and learning process, frameworks, tools and resources and constantly apply best practice continuous improvement approaches to ensure they remain fit for purpose

- Work with HR Stakeholders to ensure these processes and tools are embedded and consistently applied and that there is a sharing of best practice approaches

- Build a strong network with peers from other organisations and scan the external market for best practice to benchmark current frameworks and approaches against to continuously improve the way talent is identified, developed and deployed in the region

- End to end management and deployment of talent and learning solutions for MESA

- Drive the talent development strategy for MESA (aligned to the Group Talent Strategy) that supports the business in meeting its key objectives

- Partner with HR senior leaders to ensure integration of core learning and talent initiatives, priorities and strategies across the region

- Lead the implementation of key leadership capability strategies, talent review and performance management strategies, learning and development and change initiatives for MESA

- Assess and diagnose MESA talent and learning needs relative to business performance gaps, design and implement strategies to address and resolve gaps, and maximise opportunities to connect with and develop employees across the region

- Review training needs and oversee a catalogue of offerings including executive leadership development and assessments, individual performance coaching and team building which support the organisational strategic plan and business objectives

- Evaluate existing training offerings and refresh, design and deliver skills-based and leadership-based programmes across all teams and locations

- Provide coaching and consultation to key leaders in the creation of robust development plans that meet succession and development needs

- Set up mechanisms to measure ROI on training, and provide periodic reporting to company leadership

- Provide an effective Talent Acquisition capability to the MESA region

- Lead the strategy to position the employer value proposition in order to articulate the companies, Employer Brand to both internal and external audiences in the MESA region

- Ensure relevance of  best in class talent acquisition toolkits for use by the broader business/HR and management

- Ensure successful implementation and maintenance of talent acquisition platform

- Ensure effective workforce planning, including assessing talent risk to ensure key ratio cover is maintained

- Identify critical roles and scare skills within the region and ensure appropriate pipeline management

- Effective partnering with HR and Business stakeholders

- Communicate the group Talent Management strategy to relevant internal stakeholders and ensure strategy is cascaded

- Coach and guide senior leadership as a subject matter expert on Talent Management

- Partner with HR stakeholders to encourage greater cross-business talent mobility

- Influence senior colleagues to consider talent as an organisation-wide resource rather than a local resource to ensure people get exposure to an appropriately diverse set of development challenges across the organisation

- Form collaborative relationships with HR leaders and Business Partners in order to execute talent strategies and efforts to support the growth/strategic objectives of the region

- Talent Analytics, Reporting and Insights

- Track and update analytics for talent programmes and initiatives; use metrics / measures to monitor the effectiveness and business impact of talent management and learning initiatives

- Collate the necessary Talent analytics and statistical data for insightful monthly reporting to relevant stakeholders

- Update and monitor Talent and Succession lists and report on progress related to Talent Management actions

- Prepare and deliver high-level reporting for executive and Senior Management teams

- Compilation of ad hoc reports as required by the business

- Effective team leadership and team management

- Through effective inspirational and practical leadership, facilitate the creation of accountable, full-service development teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all client and group objectives

- Create and encourage a delivery-focused culture

- Continually inspire, motivate and develop people to understand what is expected of them (co-create a team / organisational culture of high accountability)

- Take full responsibility for performance of all direct reports, motivating and managing them in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives, focusing on all aspects of sound people management:
