Location - Jamshedpur

Experience -

- Should have total 15-20 years of relevant work experience,

- Working experience preferably in similar functions like Sustainability or Environment in Metals and Mining sector or related sector like Power, Chemicals.

- Working experience in Steel plant operations is desired.

Competencies :

Technical Competencies :

- Exposure on facilitating/implementing projects in the area of Sustainability.

- Reporting and disclosure according to GRI norms and TCFD Guidelines.

- Adequate knowledge on assessment methodologies, procedures and best practices that relate to sustainability awards applications and awards.

Key activities:

- Baselining of Sustainability parameters and formulation and formulation of Sustainability roadmap across TSI.

- Engage with Technology Group, R&D, Operations, Shikhar, Business Analysis Groups, etc to identify, evaluate sustainability projects.

- Enable usage of Sustainability corpus by convening CFT and fast tracking the approval process of pipelines of projects related to Decarbonisation and Water conservation.

- Formulate & craft Presentations / Talking points for the Senior Management to be presented at board level or national/international forums.

- The position is the convenor of Apex Business & Human Rights committee and will facilitate deployment of Business & Human Rights policy in the organisation.

- Study and bring in best practices from other companies and identify areas of synergy with TS Long Products, TS United Kingdom, TS Netherland, TS Thailand and others in Tata Group, as appropriate

- Help Tata Steel group subsidiaries in their Sustainability journey

- Identification, assessing, tacking and mitigation of Risks associated with Sustainability (climate change and others).

- Identify and periodically review material sustainability issues based on expectations of external and internal stakeholders and the impact on business performance.

- Identify priorities for policy advocacy, and work with Regulatory Affairs and other functions as appropriate (e.g. Raw Materials) to advocate policy priorities..

- Work with all internal departments to develop and review KPIs for each material issue, based on internal and global good practices and ensure that these material issues, KPIs and targets are widely agreed internally and can be shared externally.

- Produce regular (at least annually) all voluntary and mandatory sustainability reports meant for external stakeholders. This would include, but not limited to, reports of GRI, SEBI BRR, Integrated Reporting, UNGC, CDP etc. Suggest improvement in reporting (e.g. EITI framework) and facilitate implementation of the same through various functions as required.

- Work closely with Group Corporate Function to enable Integrated Reporting / Annual Report based on International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) framework and Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting framework, as appropriate.

- Create and convene forums with internal and external stakeholders for proactive identification of sustainability issues, concerns and the quality and extent of sustainability reporting.

- Closely monitor regulatory requirements related to sustainability and sensitise all the concerned process owners to ensure compliance to the regulations.
