Core Job Responsibilities:

- Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, planning, warehousing and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customer(s).

- Manage inventory and establishes controls to ensure operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.

- Develop strategies, policies, procedures, and overall team to optimize value of the entire function in creating a world class materials management group.

- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.

- Lead and coach others in maintaining excellence on cGMP, quality control, and safety.

- Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts.

- Develop and manage departmental budgets accordingly

- Establishes annual goals and objectives, (including stretch targets) in coordination with corporate objectives, and manages performance to ensure attainment

Detailed Tasks:

- Demand planning using proven forecast techniques, new products launches & product life cycle models, based on ABC, Product-mix, regional campaigns & seasonality factors.

- Devise Sourcing strategies, Bulk purchase, alternate source, 3rd party Mfg., Supplier performance Index.

- Organize Sales & Operations meeting for different Business/Plants to capture demand, translate to manufacturing capabilities & ensure seamless flow of material to attain business plan with high Customer service rate.

- Effectively manage Inventory within targeted levels, develop stocking policy, maintain Inventory turns, avoidance of dead stock through stringent control &continuous monitoring mechanism.

- Establish efficient Logistics system through various model both domestic & exports with greater focus on transportation Time, Cost & Quality for shipment to ensure on-time delivery for Customers.

- Manage multi-location Warehouses using advanced material handling equipment & Space optimization techniques.

- Develop Dealers / Super Distributors, feasibility analysis for Business volume, ROI & growth prospects.
