Head - Supply Chain Management - Electronics Manufacturing Firm (20-30 yrs)

Job Responsibility :
- Should Ensure that the entire materials inclusive of Electronic components(Active & ,Electro-mechanical parts, Plastics, Sheet Metal components , Hardware ,Packaging , Consumables, Equipment and spares are procure from the right source at right cost at a right time
- Developing of New supplier's with Respect to Demand forecast
- Ensure compliance to statutory requirements
- Support the team to get best price during price & terms finalization.
- Implement & Monitor best Practice followed across the department. Ensure that Materials Price Variance (MPV) is optimized. Component purchase price is projected accurately to reflect the inventory value for the financial period as per the Standard Costing process.
- Support the Operation's / business development effort with current and potential customers.
- Provide Quotations & Estimations to Sales / Marketing team & Operations .
- . Responsible for commercial Finalization for Bought out Parts for respective commodity.
- . Negotiations with supplier for component / tooling cost finalization.
- . Participate in customer meetings and audits.
- . Support the development and implementation of Global Supply Chain strategies and systems.
- . Improve purchasing efficiency through automation of purchasing systems. Optimize the overall cost of materials and ensure that materials supply equals demand.
- . Monitor, track, and provide feedback on suppliers' overall cost, delivery, and quality performance.
- Interaction with Customs, Central Excise and related departments, Vendors and Service providers, STPI, Production, Marketing, Finance, Projects and other HODs.
- Monitor the performance of Asst. Managers, Sr. Executives, Purchase officer, Trainees.
- Give necessary inputs & appraise them on their developmental needs,On time deliveries.
Qualification: BE(ECE/EEE) with Diploma in Materials management & Import / Export management with more than 25 yrs of experience in Electronic manufacturing industry with the key roll of Global Sourcing / Supply chain & Logistics management & production planning.
Skills:
- Familiar in Day to day operation of the plant & capacity planning
- Familiar in working with SEZ & EOU & EHTP
- Product cost management
- Familiar in setting up strategy for Purchase /Finance /Production and planning.
- Familiar in productivity management
- Inventory management
- Implementation of purchase strategy for Global & Local
- Inventory Management
- Price Trend analysis for the product & for the components
- Quality system Audit w.r.t to ISO & TPM
- Exposures to ERP / SAP are an added advantage.
- Familiar in Supplier selection and approval process.
- Handled all commodities and awareness in manufacturing process will be an added advantage
