Position - Head - Structural integrity & asset management

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Guiding Inspection of Steel structures in plant buildings, storage tank, roof structure, crane gantries, conveyor structures, gas line supports and technological structures to understand its health to initiate timely interventions and prevent deterioration in health of such structures

He will be also responsible for defining acceptable level of inspection parameters for rapid and detailed inspection for any location based on production / environment impact on structure life.

RCFA analysis of any failure in structures under his control.

- To develop KPI's for Structural inspection

KEY ACTIVITIES

Formulate ABP for structural inspection and conduct review meetings for their compliance and corrective actions. The planning horizon is normally one year with few actions -ltp

Plan, monitor and review all CBM initiatives to ensure Safety, Quality, timely compliance & check sheet creation and their implementation for reducing unplanned outages

Review and monitor compliance of infrastructure, technology and resources augmentation plan to improve inspection capabilities. Specialized Vendor development. Setting standards based on benchmarks

Compatibilty of structure to equipment to support optimization of equipment

Participate & Drive the implementation of TQM activities and ensure implementation & involvement of all employees. Identify and review Improvement projects for ensuring continuous improvements. Driving and implementation of special initiatives taken by the organization ( Special campaigns, innovista, TBEM etc)

Drive Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) excellence initiatives across all respective work units to achieve zero Fatality and limit LTI within the target. Ensure safety requirements like SOP- s, Positive isolation, adherence to standards are in place and being practiced. Comply DIC and AIC points, Drive EHS Management system, legatrics and legal compliance

Training and development of people to enhance competency and skills and also plan for availability of right resources and thereby improve overall performance of the department

END RESULTS

- Development of systems and processes for effective structural inspection

KEY ACTIVITIES

To develop analytical, detail-oriented structural methods in structural inspection and built IT system to support these initiatives

Proficiency with computer-aided drafting software applications integral to structural engineering, such as AutoCAD, RISA or Stadpro, are essential, as are excellent computer skills and familiarity with other commonly-used word processing and spreadsheet programs.

Must have knowledge of construction management.

Clear understanding of Civil / Structural engineering standards, practices, design criteria, calculations etc.

Ability to build & lead the team including recruitment, training & development, co-ordination with the stakeholders and detailed engineering consultants etc.

Competence in assessment of steel structure, analysis of inspection report, prepare remedial action and provide guidance for preventive maintenance.

Understanding of structural drawing.

experience in QA / QC inspection in

structural - construction / NDT/testing

piping -- construction / NDT / Hydro test

Welding - NDT / Visual / Drawing review

Vibration monitoring of steel structures

Degree in Civil Engineering
