Job Purpose:
Bringing intellect, imagination, innovation and initiative to rewrite the 'rules of the business' and position the Company as a new-age real estate developer.
Principal Account abilities:
1. Strategy formulation and mid-term business planning
- Sets up and leads an annual strategic planning process for the Company
- Deploys the strategy working collaboratively with the other Executive Team members including communication, action planning and cross-functional interlocks
- Works closely with the CFO and other leaders to formulate a rolling 3-year business plan highlighting mid-term targets as well as resource requirements
- Engages periodically with analysts and others to scan the environment and competitive landscape
- Conducts periodic deep dives to analyse micro-markets and competitors to draw pertinent lessons for the company
2. Functional transformation
- Work with other leaders to enhance our capabilities in key main-sequence functions like CRM, Procurement & Contracting, etc. Bring in external expertise where needed
- Set up robust management processes - metrics, dashboards, reviews - at various levels within the function
- Review policies and processes within the function and update them to meet evolving business needs
3. Analytics
- Mapping out and evaluating opportunities to embed analytics in the business
- Driving RoI from analytics programs
4. Innovation
- Create an innovation strategy that builds competitive differentiation and superior value creation for the Company
- Use tools like Design Thinking to re-image the business model, including the offering, the operating model and the financial model
- Champion innovation experiments and efforts through the organisation - ensure these are set up well with the right learning milestones
- Engage with external innovation ecosystems, e.g. proptech accelerators, academia, design leaders, etc. to constantly stimulate the innovation agenda in the Company
- Rapidly evaluate business cases for investments in innovative technologies and capabilities
- Evangelise internally and externally as an innovator in the RE development space
5. Business Excellence
- Anchor adoption and assessment process, working with Group resources and internal teams
- Drive a culture of business excellence within the organisation
6. Chief of Staff
- Coordinate leadership team meetings and follow through on agreed actions
- Support the MD & CEO on special initiatives and tasks from time to time

- Continuous stream of business model innovations - in offering, operations and value creation
- Measurable financial benefits from digital and business-model innovation efforts

- Experience in "pure play" digital and larger company transformations (typically in the consumer and technology sectors)

Qualification and Experience:
- MBA degree from a premier institution
- Preferably an engineer, by mindset if not by education
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar strategy/ innovation role
