Head - Strategy & Investor Relations - Logistics Solutions - Consulting Firm

Job Description:

Strategy and IR is highly cross-functional group which is responsible to drive several initiatives across the organization, both internally and externally.

The role entails providing data-driven insights to other business functions while at the same time providing strategic direction to the top leadership of the organization. As Head of the group, tge Person will work closely with technology and business teams, create business plans, forecast to plan resources and,provide market and competitive intelligence to CEO & senior leadership for cross functional strategic planning, and lead the M&A efforts of the firm. Person will also be expected to engage with existing and potential investors, and spearhead the firm's fundraising efforts

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Analytics:

- Track competitors' strategy & present counter plan and strategy to the management

- Actively scan the market to course correct existing strategy

- Drive product innovation by taking key strategic projects

- Build MIS / Dashboards to support regular internal reviews, generate alerts across functions to drive business objectives (cost control management, on-time delivery performance etc)

- Perform advanced analytics to drive profitability across the network and make specific interventions (route/laneprofitability, branch profitability, customer profitability etc)

- Partner with IT and business development teams to identify customer specific issues and help share them with the client

Business Planning and Forecast:

- Create and manage annual business plan & track performance of the business vis- vis the plan

- Identify the stress points in the business and help plan resources across the network

Investor relations and M&A:

- Engage with existing and new potential investors to walk through the business, strategy, financials, and spearhead all the discussions

- Work with finance team on putting together data that could be absorbed by potential investors

- Look out for potential consolidation opportunities and drive M&A for the firm

Key KPIs:

- Providing support across all business functions

- Institute an auto MIS / Dashboard structure to be used for business reviews

Essential Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA institute from a top tier college

- 12-15 years of proven experience in planning, execution and leadership of new business strategy. OR management consulting firms

- Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics solution companies

- Knowledge of statistical analysis tool and techniques

- MBA from top tier Institutes

- 12-15 years of experience overall with recent experience of heading a corporate strategy or corporate development function

- Prior experience of working for a logistics solution company
