- Our client, a leading public sector bank is looking for the Head of Strategy to strengthen the top management. The Head of Strategy is responsible for driving the overall business strategy in alignment with the vision and mission of the bank. - The job description of the Head of Strategy focuses on the individual's ability to conceptualize and formulate strategic initiatives that further that mission and making sure that the day-to-day activities of the bank support those initiatives. - The Head of Strategy works closely with the bank's CEO and other top management team members to flesh out the short and long term goals and make sure the bank's business outcomes are in line with those goals. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and articulate the bank's mission and strategy in a clear and concise way that can speak to customers and employees at all levels. - Collaborate with top / senior management to devise effective short and long term plans. - Create actionable goals that make it possible to turn that mission into tangible results. - Assess the bank's many different projects from the products down to the daily administrative activities to make sure they align with the bank's goals. - Analyse the success of products, projects, and activities - Manage economic and financial viability of the bank by using management strategies, financial accounting, human resource planning, customer relations, and implementation of new technologies. - Communicate the bank's official stance on its mission to external sources and internally to all personnel. - Discover ways to increase revenue by eliminating wasteful practices and expediting product delivery. - Lead and support management in application and implementation of new policies and procedures. - Represent the bank in official functions. - Develop new business opportunities by leveraging contacts, pursuing new product development, and improving efficiency and effectiveness. Candidate Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, finance, or marketing required. - MBA from reputed premier institutions preferred. - Must have at least 20 years experience in strategic planning, business management, corporate leadership, and financial decision-making. - Ability to engage and work with government bureaucrats, RBI and other regulatory bodies - Must have demonstrated proficiency in analytical research, leadership, and strategic planning. - Must possess exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills. - Must have a strong working knowledge of management strategies, financial accounting, human resource planning, customer relations, and implementation of new technologies. - Must have the knowledge of the latest trends banking industry across the globe and have the ability to forecast future of the banking business - Must be able to multitask with research projects, data analysis, coordination with the executive team. - Must be willing to challenge the standard thinking with new ideas, new approaches, and new solutions. - Must have strong decision-making skills and the determination to see projects through to the end. - Demonstrated skills in leadership, management, and collaboration. - Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
