Head - Strategic Sourcing - Electronic Components (12-20 yrs)
- At least 12+ years of experience in Procurement domain.
- BE/B.Tech - Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical.
- 10+ years of experience in handling electronics components, PCB, plastic Injection Molding suppliers, PCB and/or stamped/machined parts.
- Good knowledge of global supply base for Electronic components.
location - Mysore/Kolkata
Build, maintain and manage strong supplier relationships and keep up good communications
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. Day to day sourcing will not be the responsibility, but will be the bridge between vendor and factory.
- Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact business
- Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
- Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization - this may also include suggesting alternative components or vendors to design department.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers.
- Provide analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities.
- Work closely with others in the design and manufacturing function and review opportunities for continuous improvement
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
