The leader of the SSBI Management Unit will drive all SSBI related deployment in India. This is a leadership role with a strong combination of conceptual, strategic and operational responsibilities.

The person in this role should be able to design the program, develop a plan for pilot deployment, build a team and roll out the program to meet the goals. Over a period, the leader will be expected to strategically drive this effort with several Ministries of the Government of India, to support the ecosystem for innovation driven SMEs in India. In doing so, the leader will build for high quality of implementation at scale.

An ideal leader for this role will be one who is excited about and experienced in developing a strong eco-system for innovative SMEs.

Experience in leading large scale innovation (grant) program, supported by technology solutions, preferably in the small business segment

Interest and general awareness of contemporary challenges and issues in startups and small businesses in India and other developing country contexts

Recognized leader in technology management for commercialization in India or the USA with strong analytical skills and strategic thinking

Background in investment in Startups and SMEs desirable

Broad network with associations, investment groups and relevant Government departments dealing with startups and small businesses.

Experience with and inclination to be hands-on in investment diligence and analysis of Startups and SMEs

Incumbent should have at least 20 years of experience in the above areas with an additional focus on strong execution.

Excellent writer, presenter, communicator; and passionate about social change.

MBA/CA from a top tier Indian institutes or foreign institute.

Bachelors degree (Honours) from a reputed college/ university.

Strong academic background (grades, institutions).
