JOB SUMMARY: - Responsible for Heading the Solar, Green Hydrogen & Renewable energy project planning and execution from concept to commissioning and O&M across India. - The role requires leading company's Solar, GH or Renewable energy planning and execution teams from technical perspective to support new project wins, execution of projects won and managing the O&M. - It requires building, managing, and leading new and existing teams and planning to strengthen the organizational setup as the firm's renewable business grows further. - Job demands successfully conceptualizing and supporting BD team to win new projects; executing the projects won within time, cost and quality parameters; and operate and maintain the assets to exceed targeted returns. Job Purpose : Responsible and accountable for project deliverables with respect to safety, quality, profitability and on time completion of projects. Interface with the clients and vendors to achieve customer delight. Job Context & Major Challenges : Mitigating budgeted cost without compromising on quality standard & timeliness. To ensuring total safety and zero minimal incidents. Liaison with community and civic authorities & Power Generation Company/ Grid. Handling Local Talent. RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Management: - Lead a team of managers and supervisors in the day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations/management, field staff and other duties required to execute Project, Construction Management, Construction, and Program Management of renewable energy projects - Prepare and implement the project management plan including time plans, cost plans, risk management plans, & communicate the contents of the plan to the project and site team. - Handle multiple sites and projects at any given time and plan resources for the same ahead of time. - Brief Project Engineers on the content of the project programs and ensure that their look ahead programs align with the required tasks. - Review and amend work methods to eliminate risks. - Ensure Risk Assessment processes and HSE plans are properly applied within each project team. - Ensure HSE data and reporting requirements are complied with on each project. - Ensure Projects develop emergency response plan and comply with requirements (when required). - Comply with policies, objectives, and management system requirements in line with law of the land. - Ensure Project Operations comply with statutory and contractual requirements. - Closely work with Project managers to verify compliance of sub-contractors and client contractors - Prepare written procedures and documentation that contribute to the continuous improvement process - Implement and execute quality assurance plans - Ensure that a Project Environmental Management Plan is produced and implemented for each project. - Contribute to strategic planning as key member of the executive team. - Contribute to the development of pricing strategies. - Help negotiate and check the terms of new commercial contracts with customers and suppliers based on project learnings - Maintain a focus on increasing the enterprise value of the company. - Attend any relevant industry functions focused on project management, strategy, technology and project delivery - Administer contracts to deliver on revenue and schedule project goals. - Built innovative monitoring system to oversee procurement, logistics and installation of components - Handle & support legal challenges - Customize and implement industry best business practices - Negotiate and build relationships with key clients and stakeholders, removing road-blocks as required. - Identification of contract requirements and client procedures. - Operate within the approved project budget. - Review progress to ensure achievement of set milestones. - Risk identification and management. - Analyze and communicate project status, risks, schedule and costs to all internal and external stakeholders - Ensure that direct reports have a clear understanding of their role purpose and accountabilities, supported by a current position description and aligned with the Project objectives. - Ensure all construction targets and programs are met and take corrective actions to ensure that the project milestones are achieved. Contract & Vendor Management: - Monitor the contract administration, ensuring that rights and obligations are exercised, and proper records are kept. - Expert in the review, negotiation, approval, and execution of prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders. - Review the appointment of any subcontractors and their scope to minimize project commercial, quality and safety risks. - Preparation of weekly and monthly future programs (look-ahead program). DESIRED PROFILE: - BE /B.Tech - Electrical with 15+ yrs of experience in executing multiple Solar projects. - Experience in Senior Management Role in Project Management / O&M Projects - Distributed MW scale solar implementation experience is preferable, besides strong utility scale implementation experience - Willing to travel to multiple project sites. - Knowledge of Solar Project management, Planning and Scheduling, Costing review and reporting, Contract management and Project execution process. - Experience and knowledge of new projects bidding from technical side. - Leadership skills including team building, written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, project management skills, analytical skills, time & cost management. - Networking skills to remain up to date with the latest technology developments in Solar/Hybrid field and their application in optimizing business returns. - Should have completed more than 1000 MW of solar and/or 250MW of hybrid projects. - Dealing with client, government bodies, contractor, sub-contractors, and other units of company for project execution. - Should have experience working from concept stage to commissioning, inclusive of dealing with evacuation up to 400kV and land acquisition.
