Head/Senior Manager - Legal - IT/Pharma (7-10 yrs)
RESPONSIBILITIES :
This Role would handle all law-related matters including:
- Independently draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and other types of contracts including services arrangements, technology contracts, NDAs, MOUs, etc. and lead discussions with the counter-parties
- Devise processes related to contract review
- Collaborate with company's global legal team to ensure consistency in implementation of legal practices, policies and strategies
- Working closely with Human Capital, Finance and other operation teams to help facilitate the entire contract review process
- Advise on matters involving employment laws, intellectual property, technology laws, corporate and real estate laws
- Handling legal disputes with other corporations and/or individuals
- Identifying, analyzing, and working towards resolving legal issues and risks for the firm
- Conducting research on different laws and regulations in various geographic, economic and political environments
- Be a legal advisor and work together with senior management to reduce the risk of potential suits and ensure that the firm gets the best legal advice and representation
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor's degree in law is required; a master's degree is preferred
- An impressive record of academic achievement along with 7-10 years of broad based experience, including experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Relevant experience in a top law firm/ MNCs required
- Excellent organizational and analytical ability; outstanding judgment; a keen attention to detail; and proven drafting, communication, collaboration, interpersonal and leadership skills is required
- Demonstrated ability to successfully work in cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal partners within a global organization
