Head - Sales & Sales Strategy - IT (10-15 yrs)

For Bangalore office of a US based a leading Software Services, Outsourcing Partner and Software Products company we are seeking an experienced, goal-oriented sales head .

The Head of Sales will be responsible for overseeing all sales activities of the company and managing the sales teams. In this position, he will coordinate sales distribution, quotas, and goals. He should analyse sales statistics, encouraging the team to hit sales targets that leads to the overall growth of the company by adding new sales, client logos, and territories.

Sales Head Duties and Responsibilities:

- Motivating the sales team to achieve the best results possible.

- Manage, mentor, and lead sales team members.

- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly

- Tracking and reporting scorecard results to senior management.

- Collaborate with marketing operations to analyse data and enable data driven decision making

- Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives.

- Ensure top talent is hired, retained and grown within the organization

- Setting activity and revenue targets for members of the sales team.

- Continual training and development of all members of the sales department.

- Attending key meetings with members of the sales team.

- Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances.

- Develop and implement strategies to bring in new business.

- Follow organisational policies and regulations that affect the Sales department.

- Possess deep knowledge of business product offering and value proposition.

- Identifying key areas for improvement in the sales process.

- Working on account management plans with the sales account managers.

- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.

- Research customer needs and requirements; implement new ideas/strategies to generate interest in sales.

- Planning and goal-setting for future periods.

Key Attributes of the Incumbent:

- Should have minimum 10 years- experience in B2B Sales

- Should hold a Full-time MBA from Tier 1 institutes

- Should be energetic and have a go-getter attitude with excellent communication skills

- Should have led and managed a highly motivated, consistently over-achieving sales team

- Should possess strong People Management skills

- Established large volume, high profit accounts with excellent levels of retention and loyalty

- Nurtured and strengthened working relationships with clients & strategic partners in areas of customer acquisition, service delivery, cost & process adherence, people development & innovation to ensure achievement of targeted gross acquisitions

- Experience in high value sales closures across domains and industries

- Demonstrates a passion for building relationships, cultivating partnerships and growing businesses
