Head - Sales - Pharma/Healthcare - IIM/FMS/MDI/XLRI/IIT/NIT (15-25 yrs)

Job Responsibility

Strategic and planning

- The role will head sales globally for 1 business line of the firm.

- Support the CEO in developing the business strategy encompassing all the products and markets.

- Define the sales organizations objectives through active participation in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.

- Basis sales strategy, develop short and long-term goals for each region.

- Sign off on budgets for all sales regions. Monitor plan vs actual performance for each of the region.

- Develop sales policies and processes such as lead generation, opportunity management, negotiation, sales closure etc.

Sales Operations

- Define effective sales channel design and sales resource deployment to meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.

- Sign off on budgets for all sales regions. Monitor plan vs actual performance for each of the region.

- Cultivate and nurture relationship with large global and top accounts.

- Develop sales policies and processes such as lead generation, opportunity management, negotiation, sales closure etc.

- Support Regional Heads as required in building relationships with customer leadership teams.

- Leverage organizations global footprint to drive cross-selling across regions.

- Own customer experience through delivery of service as well as satisfying other requirements. Guide collaboration among sales .force and other peers in R&D, Operations, etc. to ensure that customer requirements are met on a timely basis

- Ensure adherence of policies and processes across the sales organization.

- Support Regional Heads as required in building relationships with customer leadership teams.

- Lead learning and development initiatives impacting the sales organization, and provides stewardship of sales and sales management talent.

- Review MIS from customer support and Inside sales lead conversion metrics.

Candidate Profile

- Qualification: B.Tech with a full time MBA (preferably from a Tier 1 institute).

- Years of experience: 15 years - 25 years.

- Should have excellent experience of handling a business/P&L of atleast 1000Cr per annum.

- Must have exposure to sales in the API/Intermediates/Excipient business.

- Experience of handling either the US / Europe market is mandatory.

- Proven experience of building and scaling up a business.

- Ability to manage large and cross functional teams across regions.
