Key responsibilities:
Retail Operations:
- Implement and maintain retail operational policies and procedures to incorporate sales plan, cost control, shrinkage management and reduction, audit compliance and people management.
- Plans, identifies, communicates and delegates key responsibilities and practices to the store management team to ensure smooth flow of retail operations.
- Show casing of best practices from India with the JV partner while ensuring there are substantial learnings from the foreign land as well which can further enhance business.
Financial:
- Maximize sales and profitability for the company through setting of monthly targets, monthly and annual budgets.
- Developing sales strategy to drive business towards achievement of assigned budgets while monitoring the various levers responsible for revenue augmentation.
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing budgets, scheduling expenditure, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Merchandising:
- Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandise activities, determining additional sales promotion, authorization stock clearance, studying trends and range availability to drive sales.
- Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotions, display plans, analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
Marketing:
- Formulating marketing campaigns in conjunction with emerging trends, customers shopping habits, competitor activity and utilizing range of internal and external information/data to initiate business changes and create a customer focused culture.
- Developing monthly & annual calendar along with Marketing team focusing on seasonality, customer preferences, growth drivers for different categories.
People development:
- Recruitment, training & developing a highly skilled sales force through in house trainings & workshops.
Knowledge:
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending exhibitions, workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional groups
