Purpose of the Role:

- Overall ownership of the Marketing and Sales function

- To develop and manage the sales strategy & plan for Grease & Lubes (Products and Solutions) creatively in the large Enterprise, Government, OEMs and PSU markets and other segments within India in-order to maximise market share, increase revenue, better the overall customer satisfaction and other strategic objectives of the Company.

- Evolving and execute group marketing strategy and plan in the areas of Market Opportunities, Market Segmentation, Positioning, Branding, Advertisement & Sales Promotion, Pricing, Distribution Strategy, Channels, Relationship Management, Domestic & Export Markets

Responsibilities :

- To develop a long-term sustainable business plan with ever changing Industry dynamics

- Create and adhere to budgets and forecasts for yearly sales and marketing plan

- Ensure business growth and generate positive sales and revenue streams; maximize revenue through the selling of products/services to existing and new customers and implement Sales

- Action Plans for each targeted customer. Ensuring quality and customer-service standards

- Find and address opportunities for sale of SGL products in different segments

- Establish a market focused sales organization that can effectively respond to customer needs.

- Coach and develop sales skills and technical proficiency for the team. Strategize to develop account strategies for different customers

- Management of a Sales structure including maintaining and enhancing all revenue reports; manage the Sales team; sales and revenue forecast; data and market trend analysis

- Conduct regular market surveys to evaluate SGL opportunities and associated risks, and competitor's offerings. Stay abreast of competitor's strengths and weaknesses, their product quality ratio (price vs. benefit), the way customers perceive their offerings, and their strategic business developments

- Promotion of SGL products and solutions through, active participation in industry fairs and events, advertisements, professional showrooms and customer seminars

- Build strong relationships with key customers and gain inside view of strategies and approach for short & medium term

- Sustain rapport with key accounts. Strategically undertake prospecting activities, participate in the elaboration of customer's tenders/contracts/RFQs, assess customers, identify account needs and develop optimal solutions in coordination with the R&D and manufacturing teams.

- Define and deploy short and long term strategies for technical development of products and solutions

- Institute systems to get market intelligence and generate application-based data for decision making

- Support team for gaining new customers with strong RTB (reason to believe) propositions

- Create new digital data analysis tool with forecast based on system and overview from marketing department

- Develop PVA (price variation) formula with customers on mutual understanding based on indexes to avoid frequent price negotiations

- Ensure timely collection from customers overdues with proactive approach

- Marketing and Sales responsibilities for other SBU's, especially Oil Sales (Elco and BizolGrenvo)

- Taking care of marcom operations related to SGLPL Newsletter, Customer Training, Industry or Company wise product portfolio creation, SGL future growth and Corporate Strategy

Qualifications:

- BTech Mechanical, Industrial from A level Institute

- Post Graduate degree in Marketing from A Level Management Institute

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

- Excellent knowledge of government and institutional sales and the commercial / bidding process and procedures of sales with reference to large.

- Technical understanding of grease-lubes products, and current competing technologies for better product positioning and better understanding of the clients' techno-commercial requirements.

- Strategic selling skills

- 10-20 years of experience in Hunting role and Sales & Marketing Functions

- Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.

- Excellent leadership, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Analytical and Project Management skills.

- Great decision-making skills and the ability to make difficult decision

- Ability to think creatively

- Very good interpersonal relationships with stakeholders and Customers

- Must have excellent Presentation drafting and making
