New Business Development (Team Leader)

Role Purpose / Summary:

- Strategically Lead and develop the New Business Development team reporting to you for New Business Development.

- Build and strengthen relationships with the New clients by delivering the desired client experience and value proposition.

- Designing and implementing new business sales and marketing strategy

- Drive sales of all Insurance Products, by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sale opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:

- Accountable for the development of new business and achieving and exceeding the new business budget

- Identifying the new revenue generation opportunities with Clients / Cedants / Insurers / Reinsurers

- Identifying the new revenue generation opportunities with Branch Heads, SBU's and Product Specialists

- Responsible for being an effective leader of a New Business Development Team.

- Responsible for achievement of individual new business budget, in addition to team budget, if applicable.

- Act as a role model in the business by consistently demonstrating integrity, professionalism and quality;

- Responsible for market planning and opportunities mapping

- Product demonstrations and visiting customers with a structured plan.

- Manage sales funnel development by entering and updating all customer opportunities and leads in GCRM (or other CRM system) and regularly update the same to facilitate closure of sales.

- Responsible for overseeing the revenue placement and invoicing in the policy system done by team members on a regular and timely basis

- Responsible for monitoring the accuracy of the information entered in the CRM and policy systems by team members

- Provide advice to Client / cedants and colleagues on market developments and share knowledge of market trends to enhance the overall value proposition.

- Develop and maintain effective relationships with prospects / clients.

- Accountable for maintaining and improving client satisfaction and profitability.

- Ability to understand the Client, their industry and their risks and match them with potential Global Solutions.

- Accountable and responsible for articulating the value delivered by Global and effectively lead remuneration negotiations;

- Develop promotional materials and participate in trade shows, conferences, marketing and PR campaigns and other activities designed to enhance the image of products and services

- Responsible for compliance with IRDAI, other, regulatory requirements and Global business procedures (including usage of CRM System, and application of Insurer security policies where relevant, renewal of Broker's certificate if applicable).
