Head of Sales, India Go-To-Market

Job Profile Summary

- Highly visible leader with responsibility for continued development of our client's brand within the India market with clients and partners.

- Leads the India Go to Market team with overall responsibility for motivating and leading the team to continue its rapid growth trajectory.

- Directs the work effort of managers and sellers in market with responsibility for attainment of the bookings number, profit profile of these bookings, pipeline generation and customer satisfaction.

- Maintains effective communications with executives across the company to ensure the India team is well represented in global discussions and receives the support it needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for driving profitable growth in the India market - meet targets for sales and profit profile of bookings through:

- Develop and execute India business plan in conjunction with APJ Leadership.

- Leading Sales team- hiring, performance management & reporting.

- Lead a wider matrix organisation of presales, delivery, alliances and marketing towards executing the India business plan.

- Develop and grow strategic accounts.

- Work with Customer Success teams to ensure NPS continues to improve on Installed base.

- Ensure India Business is represented at Global leadership Reviews.

SKILLS

- Understanding of India market, customer segment.

- Have sold solutions in at least one of the hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft, or Google).

- Relationships with at least one of the hyperscalers and/or VMWare.

- Managed a sales team- quota setting, sales motivation, sales cadence.

- Worked in a matrix organisation and ability to deliver results through a matrix organisation.

- Expert knowledge of company's products / services, pricing practices and selling skills.

- Manage team size of >10 direct & indirect reporting talents in Go-To-Market team who are geographically spread to cover India market along with professional service delivery team of APJ totaling > 25 and a global GTS team based in India totaling > 1800.

TRAVEL

- Expected travel of 1-2 weeks within India per quarter
