Head - Sales - EdTech Startup (8-15 yrs)
Our client, a renowned education technology start-up that is revolutionizing the way job oriented education is delivered to employment seeking youth in India, is looking to engage with experienced sales professionals, preferably from the ed-tech domain, for their head of sales requirement.
This start-up is backed by marquee VC firms and already employs a substantial no. of full-time staff. Being on the brink of big-time growth, a seasoned leader to head-up its sales force is what the firm is urgently eyeing right now.
Major responsibilities on the job would include:
- Understanding the short, mid & long term goals of the business w.r.t. to scaling-up/growth and converting that into suitable strategy for new business development
- Leading the team of sales persons to penetrate new markets within India, while strengthening the existing business generating regions
- Helping the company create a strong ecosystem of franchisee based training centres where students would be trained on the practical aspects of the courses
- Extensively engaging with & tapping a plethora of forums that help access the prospect community (i.e. +2/UG qualified or minorly experienced graduates) for business generation
- Creating strong alliances & partnerships with the larger ecosystem players in the industry to ensure comprehensive market reach
- Meeting all targets as set by the company from time-to-time
Ideal candidate profile:
- Someone working as head of sales or in a leadership role at an education/ed-tech company in India, with responsibilities of covering the entire India market, majorly metros, followed by tier-2 cities
- Someone with proven know-how of generating business in this kind of model through compelling and sustainable alliances/partnerships
- Someone who is an amazing people's person and a super-charged team lead
