Head - Risk - BFS (10-16 yrs)

Job Purpose

- Manage the online, offline and credit risk for the entire organization.

- Supervise and mentor the risk team to ensure efficient implementation of processes

- Liaison with the business and understand the business requirements & recommend changes in policies and processes to support the business.

Key Deliverables

- Lead the all India Risk team (8 Direct Reportees and total team size of 75 spread across India)

- Define and monitor the processes for managing the credit exposure through customer limits for trading in equity, derivatives, currencies and commodities

- Monitoring and dynamic grading of stocks in A, B, C and D category

- Defining the margins to the customer based on his stock portfolio

- Defining the stock price point at which automatic squaring off is triggered in the event of a stock price dropping sharply

- Identification of key risk areas, ideation and creation of risk framework, risk policy, risk limits and monitoring mechanisms.

Wealth and Asset Management

- Evaluation and approval of products, tracking performance, client suitability analysis, fund performance and attribution analysis.

Equity risk management

- Evaluation and approval of long term equity investments

- Monitoring short term proprietary trading positions (including option greeks), Performance evaluation (including critical ratios) for Alternate Investment equity fund.


- Monitoring of client positions and taking calls for action on client positions.

Loan against Shares

- Evaluation and approval of customer proposals

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

- CA / Full Time MBA

- 12 - 16 years of work experience



- In-depth understanding of Risk Management in the Broking sector.
