Head - Retail Operations - Multistore Grocery Business (15-20 yrs)
The role is one of the key position in the organization for a fast growing division of a highly successful corporate having multiple verticals covering different geographies.
- The following responsibilities are vital
- Developing and managing appropriate operating strategies for all new and existing stores with the objective of maximizing sales, profit, and customer satisfaction.
- Will work with the concerned team members for ensuring all new stores identification, project implementation and effective opening of the stores within timelines set.
- Guiding teams in the stores to execute strategies for respective format stores
- Effectively coordinating and collaborating with buying and merchandising team members and external stakeholders for smooth running of store operations.
- Developing the Retail Operations leadership team.
The following would be the Major expectations of the role:
Financial:
- To achieve targeted sales and profits through Retail Operations.
- To achieve targeted Return on Capital Employed.
- To work towards effective implementation of Store within Stores outlets and also ensure other income streams to flow into the revenues of the retail operations.
Operational:
- To develop operations strategy and overall business plan for Retail Operations.
- To guide the team members in executing the concept store strategy
- To assist and guide team members in finalization of concept rollout plans in the areas of:
- Assortment
- Pricing
- Promotions
- Branding & Marketing
- To oversee and approve the budgets for Retail Operations
- To execute optimal operating strategies to meet the business objectives and operating budgets
- To monitor and review plans vs. actual performance across stores.
- To monitor and review the retail operations performance through appropriate measurement scorecard
- To design and execute a strategy to ensure customer delight at the stores.
People Development:
- To acquire the best of talent in the industry

Customer:

- Total cumulative sales of all store formats

Educational Qualification:
- Post-Graduation/MBA

Experience:
- 15-20 years of experience in the related Industry, preferably with 5 - 8 yrs. in RETAIL GROCERY OPERATIONS heading as P&L Head.

Reporting To: COO - Retail Operations & Strategy
Reportees: All Store Managers and Cluster Managers
Peer Group: All other Functional Heads
