JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE :

- CA / CFA (AIMR, USA) or an MBA (Fin.) from a reputed institute

- Post qualification experience of at least 8 years in either in the research team of a reputed broking house, OR, in a Wealth Management and Product Analysis profile, with at least 2 years in a team leadership role.

- Knowledge of multiple asset classes and investment products is essential, while experience in the same would be an added advantage.

- Should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

JOB PROFILE :

RESEARCH &INVESTMENTS :

- Leading Team of Research Analystsin the PCG Desk of the company.

- Defining and designing the Model and Rationale for Stock Selection.

- Applying the model and selecting stocks to arrive at the top set of stocks in various categories.

- Assigning stocks to be covered and guiding team on coverages and enabling them to achieve targets.

- Working with the Fundamental Analysts in preparing screeners, evaluating ideas, maintaining models and writing the content of the Research Reports.

- Maintaining Corporate Access wherever necessary and possible. Meeting company managements and attending all relevant management interactions, such as concalls& zoom calls.

- Working with the Technical Analyst on Weekly and Monthly Technical Picks.

- Also independently originating investment and trading ideas, prepare Stock Idea notes and Detailed Coverages, if required.

- Provide guidance to the PMS Fund Manager / Analyst of the SEBI Regd PMS of the company.

- Guiding the Commodities Analyst on commodities technical. Ensuring that adequate commodity fundamental reports are obtained from the outsourced research resource for commodities.

- Providing view on Equity Markets, Sectors and Stocks to all concerned.

- Preparing and delivering regular presentations to the Dealing team and the RMs on equity markets and investment ideas.

PRODUCTS :

- Guiding and working with the Research Analyst - MF &Products, in designing and maintaining the philosophy of product selection across various Asset Classes, including Mutual Funds, Third Party Equity PMS-, AIFs, Bonds, Structures and any other product on bespoke basis.

- For Mutual Funds, designing and managing the fund selection methodology across all categories.

- Carrying out monthly performance review of the Recommended Mutual Funds and recommend changes, if any.

- Guiding the MF & Products Analyst in preparing one-pagers on the most recommended funds, as well as comparative notes on specific funds on selective/need basis.

- Engaging with AMCs at all levels including Fund Managers on a regular basis.

- For all Third Party Products, Evolving and managing the product selection philosophy, understanding the product structure, the risk-return profile and the taxation impact of all products.

- Interacting regularly with the product manufacturers / portfolio managers, to understand their philosophy, stance and current views.

- Negotiating with the product manufacturers on commissions / fees.

- Working with the team and overseeing the preparing of the monthly product compendium.

Would be required to help the Wealth Management team in client acquisition, by participating in meetings, as and when required. Would be required to evaluate Investment Portfolios of clients and provide commentary on the same.
