Head - Research & Development - IT

Job Description :

- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science with 10 -15 years

- Senior & Hands-on technology leader in product development using full stack Java & AWS Cloud technologies with 12+years of overall experience

- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Java / J2EE development is mandatory

- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing technical Software Engineering team (JAVA/J2EE and Cloud Tech Stack) in product development companies

- Experience in working with modern development & integration tool suites is required Good knowledge of Linux environment with an exposure to at least one DB e.g. Postgres, MySQL

- Good stakeholder management and a quick learner in understanding business processes

- Strong communication and articulation with compelling executive presence

- Experience working in captive setups is a must

- Candidates who are out of the box thinkers and are strongly inclined towards innovation & scale will be ideal for this role

- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment

- Demonstrated ability to motivate, excellent team building and leadership skills

- Experience working in a start-up environment highly preferred

- Good to have wireless/mobile/embedded devices/IoT/product development experience

Responsibilities :

- Build teams and plan BCP across Hardware Engineering, Software development & Quality Assurance deliveries from our global technology center in Chennai

- Drive continuous process improvement supporting global R&D deliveries and timelines

- Handle critical product development roles on platforms with high scales of transactions

- This is a senior Engineering lead role that requires strong hands on design and architecture capabilities

- Ability to identify optimal near-shore; off-shore capability splits for engineering teams

- Be part of Global Technology Center's leadership team involved with devising & implementation of strategic plans, policies, and processes

- Own team's talent management activities right from hiring, on boarding, performance reviews and off boarding resources
