The Role: Impact & Contribution

The incumbent will be responsible for the growth of the Group businesses by ensuring that they evolve state of the art machines with the latest technology upgrades in the most efficient manner keeping in mind the clients- specifications, cost implications and time guidelines.

He would be responsible for the P&L and overall administration of this setup.

Job Responsibilities:

- Concept Development

- Designing and Simulation: CAD

- Vendor Development

- Assemble and Test the Prototype Product:

- Leadership Skills

- Talent Management & Technology Update

Key Competencies Required:

Technical:

- Extensive knowledge of high speed machine designs & operation.

- Good conceptual clarity of latest design softwares in 3D.

Managerial:

- Problem solving, creative, analytical & result oriented.

- Capable of generating, accepting nurturing and implementing creative and innovative design ideas.

- Ability to disseminate ideas and technological information for continuous improvement and up gradation.

- Quick to detect problems and suggest effective solutions.

- Highly competent in project management. Able to delight Group Co's with high quality output delivered on or before time.

- Ability to anticipate new trends in technologies, methods, machine design and proactively working towards it.

- Ability to coach design engineers and technicians. Ability to identify their developmental needs and suggest training.

Performance Measurement:

- Development of designs or products as per projected requirements within committed timelines and quality.

- Upgradation of the design capabilities of the Centre both in terms of technology and resources.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

- Should have around 20 years of experience in an engineering set up from the Automation or Machine Building industry sector with the past 5 years in heading the Business Unit.

- Should be a Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with sound knowledge on the following aspects: electrical & electronics (PLC/CNC/Servo drives, Robotics, Motors, Encoders, Sensor applications) Mechanical (machine parts, gears, conveyors, linear and rotary guide ways, Hydraulics and pneumatics and toolings).

- Degree in Business Management preferred.

- The candidate must be able to work effectively and should be achievement oriented, highly self-motivated with good convincing and influencing ability.

- He should have strong interpersonal skills and be a culturally sensitive person.
