We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable individual to lead our Quant and Fundamental Research team as the Head of Quant and Fundamental Research. As the Head of Quant and Fundamental Research, you will be responsible for overseeing the research activities and providing strategic guidance to support investment decision-making. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing research strategies, integrating quantitative and fundamental analysis, and contributing to the overall success of our investment portfolio. Quantitative and fundamental analysis: Oversee the development and application of quantitative models, statistical techniques, and data analysis tools for investment research. Ensure the integration of quantitative and fundamental analysis methodologies to generate comprehensive insights and recommendations. Investment recommendations: Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to provide well-researched investment recommendations. Present research findings, investment strategies, and risk assessments to senior management and investment committees. Market monitoring: Stay abreast of market trends, economic indicators, regulatory changes, and industry developments. Monitor the performance of investment portfolios and assess the impact of market events on investment strategies. Collaboration and communication: Foster strong relationships and effective communication with portfolio managers, investment teams, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams, such as trading, compliance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of research insights into investment decisions and portfolio management processes. Research process enhancement: Continuously improve research methodologies, data sources, and research tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the research process. Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation in research activities. Education & Skillsets: - Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. A master's degree or CFA designation is highly preferred. - Proven experience in quantitative and fundamental research within the finance industry, with a deep understanding of investment strategies, financial modeling, and market analysis. - Strong leadership and managerial skills - Proficiency in quantitative analysis tools, statistical programming languages (such as Python, R, or MATLAB), and financial data platforms. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify relevant insights. - Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and regulatory frameworks. - Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
