Head - Purchase & Supply Chain Management - Offline Pharma Retail (10-15 yrs)

Role :

- Oversee all strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of expenditure, negotiate better deals & find profitable vendors / suppliers.

- Monitor & control all budgeting & expense for all procurement activities

- Develop and implement purchasing & contract management systems / policies & procedures.

- Participate in development of specifications for all equipment, products or substitute materials.

- Resolve vendor grievances and claims against supplies.

- Represent the company while negotiating contracts & policies with vendors.

- Ensure cost effective & best quality printing of all stationery as per specifications.

- Ensure timely dispatch & availability of all required equipment, stationery & linen at all Centres & labs.

- Direct personnel management of everyone involved in purchasing / procurement and review staff performance periodically

- Coordinate with Biomedical team for proper installation of instruments /equipment at all centres & ensure timely service in case of breakdown.

- Coordinate with Pharmacy team for proper storage & upkeep of drugs at all centres as per statutory requirements.

- Coordinate with Clinical & Lab operations team for all their equipment & pharmacy requirements

- Coordinate with Accounts team for timely payments to vendors

- Coordinate with HR team for filling up vacancies timely

Work as a resource allocator for the department as well as the organization to create a beneficial network so that dependency gets minimized.

- Review, evaluate and approve specifications for issuing & awarding bids at competitive rates

- Prepare reports on market conditions & provide regular updates to internal & external stakeholders.

- Analyze market & delivery systems in order to assess present & future material availability.

- Help create a conducive environment within the department where teams feel free to share ideas, learn from mistakes & develop positive work attitude.

- Provide emotional & mental safety to each team member through a transparent environment.

- Empower employees to perform & innovate and develop collaborative approach among team members.
