Purchase/Procurement Head - Strategic Sourcing - D2C Growth Stage Retail Startup Key Responsibilities : - Strategic purchase / procurement of variety of chemical raw material and packaging material - Sourcing of Raw Material from local and international suppliers. - Preparation of Purchase plans/budgets, forecasting, import planning. - Technical and commercial negotiations related to RM and capital goods Purchasing. - RM/PM inventory management and scheduling for cost effective and timely supplies. - Logistics management for local and imported supplies, including transportation, statutory and other regulatory requirements. - Development of local and overseas vendors. - Supplier evaluation on cost, quality, delivery parameters. Position Reports to : Founder Position Location : Bangalore Experience : 8-10 years in purchasing of Raw Materials, Packaging Materials and capital goods in a reputed chemicals/furniture/FMCG/manufacturing company or startups Key attributes : - Good knowledge of chemical, FMCG or furniture industry suppliers, both local and international. - Conversant with tracking commodity price movements and its linkages with downstream products - Conversant with currency fluctuations and its impact on procurement. - Knowledge of statutory and all legal compliance requirement for local/overseas procurement. - Good communication skills, both verbal and written. - Leadership style of a go getter, motivating and guiding the team, forward looking. - Willingness to get hands dirty in a start-up fast moving like environment
